Ananta Press is delighted to congratulate author Archana Jain on being officially recognized as a Winner of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for her insightful and timely book, Fungibility: The Art & Science of Adding Value Anywhere. In an era when Artificial Intelligence, automation, technological disruption, and rapidly changing industries are transforming the professional world, Fungibility addresses one of the most important questions facing professionals today: How can a person continue to remain valuable when jobs, industries, and required skills keep changing? Archana Jain approaches this question with clarity and purpose. Rather than encouraging readers to simply collect more qualifications or become dependent on one specialized role, the book introduces the idea of becoming “fungible.” In the context of the book, this means developing capabilities that can be transferred across different roles, functions, industries, situations, and challenges while continuing to create meaningful value. This fresh interpretation gives the book its distinctive identity. Fungibility does not define professional success only through a job title, designation, organization, or technical specialization. Instead, it encourages readers to understand themselves through the value they are capable of creating. This shift from “what I do” to “what value I create” is one of the strongest ideas presented in the book. The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award recognizes books and authors whose work offers originality, relevance, meaningful thought, and lasting value to readers. The award committee considers not only the subject of a book but also its ability to communicate an important message, contribute to its field, encourage reflection, and positively influence its audience. Fungibility stood out during the evaluation because it responds directly to the realities of the modern workplace. Skills that were highly valuable a few years ago may become less important as new technologies emerge. Entire job descriptions are changing, and professionals at every stage of their careers are being asked to learn faster and adapt more frequently. Archana Jain does not present change merely as a threat. She shows readers how adaptability, learning agility, transferable capability, and an ability to create value can become powerful professional advantages. Another important strength of the book is its broad relevance. Its ideas can benefit students preparing to enter the workforce, young professionals building their careers, experienced leaders navigating organizational change, entrepreneurs responding to uncertain markets, and organizations seeking to develop future-ready teams. This wide applicability strengthens the book’s practical and intellectual contribution. The award committee also appreciates the book’s emphasis on resilience without promoting fear. Instead of asking readers to constantly worry about becoming obsolete, Fungibility encourages them to build qualities that remain useful even when circumstances change. Learning agility, adaptability, transferable skills, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to create meaningful impact are presented as resources that can travel with an individual from one professional situation to another. The book’s message is particularly relevant in the age of AI. Discussions about Artificial Intelligence often focus on which jobs may disappear or which tasks may become automated. Fungibility offers a constructive alternative to this anxiety. It asks readers to focus on what they can continue developing within themselves. The result is a perspective that is both practical and empowering. The committee also found value in the combination of research, leadership insights, business examples, and practical frameworks described in the book. This approach allows the subject to move beyond motivational advice and toward a more structured understanding of career adaptability. Readers are encouraged not simply to feel inspired but to examine their capabilities, expand their learning, and consciously prepare themselves for changing opportunities. At its heart, Fungibility carries a meaningful message about professional identity. A person’s long-term value should not depend entirely on one position, one company, one industry, or one set of technical skills. Roles may disappear, organizations may restructure, and industries may evolve, but the capacity to learn, adapt, solve problems, contribute, and create value can continue to grow. For its timely subject, fresh interpretation of fungibility, practical relevance, motivating message, and contribution to conversations around the future of work, Archana Jain’s Fungibility: The Art & Science of Adding Value Anywhere has earned recognition as a Winner of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. Ananta Press warmly congratulates Archana Jain on this achievement. We wish her continued success as an author and hope Fungibility reaches professionals, students, leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizations seeking greater confidence and clarity in a rapidly changing world. May the book continue to inspire readers to look beyond fixed job titles, develop transferable capabilities, remain curious, embrace learning, and discover new ways to add value wherever their journey takes them. Reviewer Feedback Glenville Ashby Fungibility is a highly relevant book because it speaks directly to a concern that many professionals have today. People are watching Artificial Intelligence change the nature of work, and many are uncertain about which skills will remain useful. What I appreciated about Archana Jain’s approach is that she does not make the reader fearful of the future. Instead, she encourages the reader to become more adaptable. The idea of moving professional identity away from a particular job title and toward the value a person can create is especially meaningful. It helps the reader understand that a career does not have to be limited to one role or industry. The focus on transferable skills, learning agility, and continuous development makes the book useful for professionals at different career stages. I also found the central idea of fungibility to be presented in a fresh and accessible manner. The book offers readers a positive way to think about career uncertainty and long-term professional relevance. Kavya Pandey What stood out to me in Fungibility is the simplicity and strength of its central message. Careers are no longer as predictable as they once appeared to be, and professionals cannot depend only on qualifications or experience gained in one particular role. Archana Jain encourages readers to identify the deeper capabilities that allow them to contribute in different environments. I found this idea practical because it can be applied by students, employees, leaders,
Vembadian Officially Nominated for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for Justice Restored
Ananta Press proudly congratulates distinguished author and former Indian Railways bureaucrat Vembadian on the official nomination of his novel, Justice Restored, for the prestigious Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. This nomination recognizes not only the literary merit of Justice Restored but also its powerful engagement with questions of justice, administrative accountability, empathy, responsible leadership, and the everyday struggles of ordinary citizens. By transforming the complexities of bureaucracy into a deeply human narrative, Vembadian has created a novel that is both socially relevant and emotionally meaningful. A Story Where Justice Becomes a Human Responsibility At the heart of Justice Restored is Mahesh Gupta, a sincere and devoted last-grade employee in a government organization whose life changes dramatically after a serious workplace accident. After sustaining a severe head injury, Mahesh undergoes treatment and is eventually transferred to Ranchi Mental Hospital when complications affect his mental health. What should have been treated as an employee’s medical crisis instead becomes a tragic administrative failure. Because the necessary communication regarding his continued hospitalization does not reach the appropriate office, Mahesh is recorded as being absent without authorization. His salary is stopped, and eventually he is removed from service. His family is pushed into poverty, his son’s education suffers, and repeated representations fail to bring relief. The novel takes a decisive turn when a newly appointed HRD Chief, Mohan, receives correspondence concerning Mahesh Gupta’s unresolved case. Rather than accepting previous administrative decisions without question, Mohan investigates. With the assistance of Senior HR Manager Mishra and a detailed welfare inquiry, the truth gradually emerges: Mahesh had never deliberately abandoned his duties. His absence was the result of continued medical treatment, while the injustice arose largely from a serious communication gap and the failure of officials to investigate the circumstances properly. Through determination, empathy, and ethical leadership, the HRD Chief succeeds in convincing the General Manager to correct the administrative wrong. Mahesh Gupta’s removal order is cancelled, his case is reconsidered on medical grounds, his rightful benefits are restored, and his son receives an appointment on compassionate grounds. And thus, after years of suffering, justice is restored. Why Justice Restored Earned Its Nomination The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award Committee found Justice Restored especially noteworthy because its central conflict emerges from circumstances that feel strikingly real. Vembadian does not portray bureaucracy merely as an impersonal institution. Instead, he examines the human consequences of administrative decisions. A missing communication, an assumption made without investigation, or an official file handled without sufficient care can dramatically alter an individual’s life. The novel therefore carries an important message: administration is ultimately about people. Its exploration of justice and accountability is particularly significant. The story demonstrates that systems themselves may contain mechanisms for justice, but meaningful reform often requires individuals who are willing to question previous decisions, examine facts carefully, accept responsibility, and act with compassion. Mohan, the HRD Chief, becomes an embodiment of such leadership. His character suggests that authority acquires true meaning when it is used responsibly. Through him, the novel argues that courage in administration is not necessarily dramatic; sometimes it means reopening a forgotten file, asking the question no one previously asked, and refusing to allow procedural convenience to replace fairness. Equally important is the novel’s emphasis on empathy. Mahesh Gupta is not merely a case number or an employee record. He is a worker, husband, father, patient, and citizen whose family experiences the painful consequences of institutional negligence. This human dimension gives Justice Restored its emotional strength. A Writer Who Knows the World He Portrays The nomination becomes even more meaningful when viewed alongside Vembadian’s remarkable professional and literary journey. Before devoting himself more fully to writing, Vembadian served for nearly three decades as an HRD professional in the Indian Railways. An Indian Railway Personnel Service Officer, he retired as Chief Personnel Officer (Administration) after serving in several important capacities, including Chairman of a Railway Recruitment Board and positions across railway divisions and zonal headquarters in different parts of India. His academic background includes an M.A., Bachelor of Laws, a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Administration. This extensive professional experience gives Justice Restored a distinctive authenticity. Vembadian understands administrative structures not merely as an observer but through decades of direct professional engagement. Yet his literary aspirations began much earlier. With an academic background in Tamil literature and an early ambition to become a professor and author, Vembadian continued writing throughout his administrative career. His literary work includes Tamil poetry, short stories, prose, professional guides, English poetry, novels, and numerous Kindle publications. Several of his Tamil works received institutional recognition, while his professional guide, A Guide to Conduct Inquiry Step by Step, was acquired by divisions and zonal headquarters of Indian Railways. After retirement, his ambition to reach readers across the world led him towards English-language writing. His poetry collection Full Moon Day was published in 2022, followed by Justice Restored, published by Olympia Publishers, London, in March 2025. Literature With Purpose Perhaps the strongest reason behind this nomination is Vembadian’s philosophy of writing. For him, literature should provide enjoyment through storytelling, description, language, metaphor, and imagination. At the same time, he believes literature should leave readers with meaningful ideas, values, information, memorable characters, and lessons that can contribute positively to society. Justice Restored reflects both aspirations. It offers a compelling story while asking readers to think about fairness, administrative responsibility, humane governance, and the importance of examining the truth before judging an individual. The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award seeks to recognize literary voices whose work demonstrates originality, meaningful reader value, social relevance, and a sincere contribution to literature. In Justice Restored, Vembadian brings together professional insight, human sensitivity, social commentary, and purposeful storytelling in a manner that strongly reflects these values. Ananta Press warmly congratulates Vembadian on his official nomination for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. We extend our sincere best wishes to him for this recognition and for his continuing literary journey. Through Justice Restored,
Official Winner Announcement: Geetha Ramesh Wins the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for Return Of The Soul
Ananta Press is pleased to congratulate author Geetha Ramesh on being officially selected as a Winner of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for her fiction novel Return Of The Soul. This recognition celebrates a work that combines historical experience, romance, memory, reincarnation, family responsibility, and the enduring power of human connection. The award committee found the novel notable for its imaginative concept and for the emotional questions it raises about love, destiny, and the possibility that some bonds may continue beyond one lifetime. Return Of The Soul begins against the troubled background of World War II and follows an Indian family settled in Burma. Through this setting, the novel places its characters inside a period marked by danger, uncertainty, displacement, and personal sacrifice. At the centre of the story is Roopini, the eldest daughter of the family, who supports her father in managing the family business. Her role gives the story an important sense of responsibility and strength before the romantic journey begins. During the war, Roopini meets Amudhan, a South Indian soldier and poet. Their relationship grows in extraordinary circumstances, where the fear of loss is always present. Their love becomes deeply significant when Amudhan dies in Roopini’s lap, but not before assuring her that he will return to live with her again. This promise becomes the emotional heart of the novel and carries the reader from a historical love story into a larger exploration of reincarnation and unfinished relationships. The next phase of the story adds originality and emotional complexity. Roopini is reborn as Sreeja in the same family, as one of the daughters of her own sister. From childhood, Sreeja remembers events from her previous birth. As she grows older, however, she begins to doubt those memories and wonders whether they are only imagination. Life moves forward, and under the influence of family pressure and gratitude, she marries someone else. This creates an important conflict between memory and present reality, between what the heart remembers and what circumstances demand. Amudhan also returns in another life as Sridhar. When he appears again, he is in his mid-forties and remains unmarried. As the story develops, Sridhar too begins to recall his previous birth. Their meeting gives the novel its central emotional and philosophical tension. The question is no longer only whether two people can meet again, but what happens when they do. They have returned to a different time, with different identities, responsibilities, relationships, and choices. This makes Return Of The Soul more than a simple reincarnation romance. The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award recognizes literary works that demonstrate meaningful storytelling, originality, reader value, and a sincere contribution to literature. Return Of The Soul was selected because it brings several themes together in a way that invites both emotional involvement and reflection. Its World War II background adds historical weight, while its exploration of rebirth gives the novel a spiritual and imaginative dimension. At the same time, the family pressures, personal duties, sacrifices, and difficult decisions faced by the characters keep the story rooted in recognizable human experience. The award committee also appreciated the character of Roopini and her later life as Sreeja. She is presented not merely as someone waiting for love, but as a daughter carrying responsibility, a woman facing loss, and later a person trying to understand memories that do not fit easily into her present life. Amudhan and Sridhar similarly represent the idea of love changed by time. Their journey raises questions about identity, loyalty, destiny, and whether emotional truth can survive the changes brought by death and rebirth. Geetha Ramesh deserves special appreciation for developing a story with a distinctive central idea while keeping emotion at its core. The novel has the ability to appeal to readers who enjoy romance, family drama, historical settings, spiritual themes, and stories that explore the mysteries of human existence. Its central message is not limited to reincarnation. It also reminds readers that love, memory, responsibility, and choice can shape a life in ways that are not always simple or predictable. On behalf of Ananta Press and the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award committee, we warmly congratulate Geetha Ramesh on this achievement. The selection of Return Of The Soul as a winning work recognizes her imaginative storytelling and her contribution to fiction that encourages readers to feel, question, and reflect. We extend our best wishes to her for continued literary success and hope that her work reaches many more readers in the years ahead. Jury Feedback Glenville Ashby Return Of The Soul left a strong impression on me because it brings together history, love, memory, and rebirth in a very natural way. The background of World War II gives the story seriousness, while the relationship between Roopini and Amudhan gives it emotional warmth. I especially liked the promise made by Amudhan before his death, because it becomes the emotional foundation of everything that follows. The later journey of Sreeja adds another layer to the story. Her childhood memories of a previous life are handled in a way that creates curiosity without making the story difficult to follow. The return of Amudhan as Sridhar in middle age also gives the novel a mature emotional tone. The book asks readers to think about whether love can survive time, death, social expectations, and new responsibilities. Geetha Ramesh has created a story that is imaginative but also deeply connected to human emotions, and that balance makes the book memorable. Kavya Pandey What I appreciated most in Return Of The Soul is the way the novel places a personal love story inside a difficult historical period. The Burmese setting during World War II gives the beginning of the book a sense of danger, uncertainty, and movement. Roopini is not shown only as a romantic character. She is also an eldest daughter who supports her father in the family business and carries responsibility during a difficult time. That makes her character more believable and meaningful. Her bond with Amudhan, a South Indian soldier
Mitisha Mukherji Officially Honoured as Winner of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for “It’s All About Love: From an Incomplete Wish to a Complete Story”
Ananta Press is delighted to congratulate author Mitisha Mukherji on being officially recognised as a Winner of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for her fiction book, It’s All About Love: From an Incomplete Wish to a Complete Story. This recognition celebrates a work that presents love in a refreshing, sensitive, and deeply human way. Rather than limiting love to conventional romance, Mitisha Mukherji explores how love exists in different forms at different stages of life and within different relationships. Her story reminds readers that love is rarely an isolated emotion. It often carries friendship, comfort, care, disappointment, hope, understanding, attachment, and personal growth along with it. It’s All About Love stands apart because of the simplicity with which these emotions are presented. The book does not depend upon unnecessary dramatic situations or exaggerated conflicts to keep the reader interested. Instead, it finds meaning in natural interactions, emotional closeness, and the quiet comfort shared between people. This subtle approach gives the story an emotional honesty that many readers can connect with. One of the strongest qualities recognised during the award consideration was the book’s visual style of storytelling. Its chapters are written in a manner that allows scenes to form easily in the reader’s imagination. The experience can feel similar to watching a series of short, meaningful reels or scenes, while still maintaining the intimacy of reading a work of fiction. This quality makes the narrative accessible, engaging, and suitable for contemporary readers who appreciate stories that move naturally without becoming unnecessarily lengthy. The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award seeks to recognise authors and books that make a meaningful contribution to literature through originality, emotional value, creativity, relevance, and the ability to leave an impression on readers. The selection of It’s All About Love reflects these values. The award committee found particular merit in the central idea that love changes its expression depending upon the people involved and the stage of life being experienced. The book encourages readers to look beyond familiar definitions of love and recognise it in quieter forms. Sometimes love is found in understanding. Sometimes it exists in someone’s presence, patience, concern, or acceptance. At other times, it is connected with memories, wishes, separation, or the courage to move forward. This broader interpretation gives the book both literary and emotional value. It allows readers to relate the story to their own relationships and experiences without forcing them toward a single understanding of what love should look like. Mitisha Mukherji’s storytelling also deserves appreciation for maintaining brevity while preserving emotional depth. Writing a short and engaging story without making its emotions feel incomplete requires careful control over pace and expression. The book attempts to achieve this through scene-like chapters, relatable emotions, and a natural flow rather than excessive explanation. The title, It’s All About Love: From an Incomplete Wish to a Complete Story, also reflects the emotional movement at the heart of the work. It suggests a journey from something unfinished toward a sense of completion, while allowing love to remain the connecting force throughout that journey. Through this book, Mitisha Mukherji contributes a contemporary perspective to general fiction. She offers readers a story that is easy to enter but also encourages them to think about relationships, emotions, and the different ways people care for one another. Ananta Press warmly congratulates Mitisha Mukherji on receiving the Sahitya Ratna Award. May this recognition encourage her to continue creating stories that connect with readers through simplicity, observation, and emotional truth. We extend our best wishes to Mitisha Mukherji for her future literary journey and proudly recognise her contribution to contemporary fiction through It’s All About Love: From an Incomplete Wish to a Complete Story. Reviewer Feedback Drafts Glenville Ashby It’s All About Love presents a simple but thoughtful understanding of an emotion that has been written about countless times. What interested me most was the author’s decision not to present love only as romance. Mitisha Mukherji allows love to appear through comfort, understanding, attachment, friendship, expectations, and the many small emotions that connect one person with another. The chapters have a visual quality, and several portions can easily form scenes in the reader’s mind. This makes the reading experience quick and engaging without making the story feel unnecessarily dramatic. I also appreciate that the author does not stretch situations merely to create excitement. The strength of the book lies in its natural emotional movement. It speaks about feelings in a manner that ordinary readers can understand and relate to. For me, its literary value comes from this combination of simplicity, emotional awareness, and a contemporary style of storytelling. It is a warm and accessible work of fiction. Kavya Pandey While reading It’s All About Love, I particularly appreciated the way Mitisha Mukherji explores different shades of love without trying to define the emotion through only one relationship. The book recognises that our understanding of love changes as we grow and as different people enter our lives. This thought gives the story a wider emotional meaning. The characters appear to connect through ease, familiarity, care, and comfort rather than through exaggerated romantic moments. I found this approach refreshing because it feels closer to how relationships often develop in real life. Another interesting quality is the structure of the chapters. They have a scene-like movement that helps readers visualise what is happening almost immediately. The story remains brief and focused, which makes it suitable for readers who enjoy emotionally meaningful fiction without excessive description. The book leaves the reader thinking about the people who have shaped their own understanding of love. That personal connection is one of its strongest qualities. Apeksha Gupta The most appealing aspect of It’s All About Love is its emotional simplicity. Mitisha Mukherji does not attempt to make love appear grand or perfect. Instead, she presents it as something connected with many other emotions and experiences. Love can contain happiness, concern, disappointment, trust, comfort, hope, and even silence. This understanding gives the book a mature emotional foundation.
Amit Kr Agarwal Officially Nominated for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for “अमितृप्ति… अधूरा मैं, पूरी तुम”
Ananta Press is delighted to congratulate author Amit Kr Agarwal, also known in the literary world as ‘राजे बुलंदशहरिया’, on the official nomination of his deeply emotional work, “अमितृप्ति… अधूरा मैं, पूरी तुम”, for the prestigious Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award in the Fiction (General) category. This nomination recognizes not merely a literary work, but a heartfelt exploration of relationships, emotional intimacy, companionship, sacrifice, trust, and the many unspoken feelings that shape human connections. “अमितृप्ति… अधूरा मैं, पूरी तुम” stands apart because it approaches relationships not through idealized romance alone, but through the realities that sustain love over time. At its heart, the book explores the journey shared by two people through विश्वास, सम्मान, संवाद, त्याग और प्रेम — trust, respect, communication, sacrifice, and love. The book reminds readers that relationships are rarely defined only by their happiest moments. They are also built through understanding, patience, emotional vulnerability, compromise, memories, silences, misunderstandings, and the willingness to continue walking together even when life becomes difficult. This emotional authenticity is one of the principal qualities that drew the attention of the award committee. Rather than presenting marital and emotional relationships as simple or one-dimensional, Amit Kr Agarwal brings forward their many layers. His writing gives space to feelings that often remain within the heart because people struggle to express them. Through his words, emotions that may otherwise remain unnamed begin to acquire language. The author himself describes the work as more than a collection of words. It is intended as a journey through feelings that many readers may already have experienced in their own lives. A line that awakens a forgotten memory, brings a smile, or gives expression to an emotion hidden deep within the heart becomes, in his understanding, the true success of writing. It is precisely this reader-author connection that gives “अमितृप्ति… अधूरा मैं, पूरी तुम” its literary relevance. A Writer Who Turns Emotions into Words Amit Kumar Agarwal’s creative identity is closely connected with the name ‘राजे बुलंदशहरिया’. For him, this is far more than a pen name. It represents memory, belonging, family, identity, and emotional inheritance. The word ‘राजे’ carries the sacred memory of his late mother, whose love, values, and presence continue to remain alive in his life and writing. ‘बुलंदशहरिया’, meanwhile, reflects his attachment to Bulandshahr — the city associated with his roots, relationships, experiences, and memories. Together, the name ‘राजे बुलंदशहरिया’ becomes an emotional identity where a mother’s affection and pride in one’s native soil coexist. This personal sensitivity is clearly reflected in Amit Kr Agarwal’s literary voice. His stories and shayari explore love not merely as beauty or attraction, but as an experience containing devotion, faith, waiting, pain, sacrifice, longing, separation, and incompleteness. His work encourages readers not simply to read a story but to feel the emotions behind it. His earlier creative journey, including works such as “एक अधूरी मुलाकात” and now “अमितृप्ति… अधूरा मैं, पूरी तुम”, demonstrates his continuing interest in those dimensions of love and human relationships that are often left unfinished, unspoken, or remembered long after a particular moment has passed. Why “अमितृप्ति… अधूरा मैं, पूरी तुम” Was Nominated The nomination committee recognized several qualities that make this book deserving of consideration for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. Foremost among them is its emotional relatability. The themes explored in the book are deeply personal, yet universal. Readers from different stages of life can recognize something of their own relationships, memories, disappointments, affection, or emotional struggles within its pages. The book also carries an important message about the foundations of meaningful relationships. In a time when communication can often become hurried and relationships increasingly complicated, the work places renewed emphasis on trust, respect, dialogue, sacrifice, and emotional understanding. Its literary value lies in its ability to transform familiar human emotions into meaningful expression. Amit Kr Agarwal’s strength is his sensitivity toward the unsaid. His writing attempts to capture the moments between conversations, the feelings behind silence, the memories left behind by relationships, and the incompleteness that sometimes makes love even more unforgettable. This emotional sincerity, combined with his distinctive storytelling and poetic sensibility, makes the book a noteworthy contribution to contemporary Hindi literary expression. Celebrating a Meaningful Literary Voice The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award seeks to recognize literary voices and works that demonstrate creativity, meaningful expression, reader impact, originality, and a genuine contribution to literature. The official nomination of Amit Kr Agarwal and “अमितृप्ति… अधूरा मैं, पूरी तुम” celebrates an author who uses literature to bring readers closer to emotions that are deeply felt but not always easily expressed. Through his stories and poetry, Amit Kr Agarwal reminds us that literature becomes powerful when readers begin to discover fragments of their own lives within someone else’s words. Ananta Press warmly congratulates Amit Kr Agarwal ‘राजे बुलंदशहरिया’ on this significant nomination for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. We extend our heartfelt best wishes to him for the next stage of this literary journey and recognize his sincere contribution toward preserving the emotional depth, beauty, and humanity of storytelling. May his words continue to give voice to unspoken emotions, awaken cherished memories, and remind readers that sometimes what remains incomplete in life becomes complete through literature.
Gouri Shankar Patnaik Officially Nominated for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for “Relationship Revolution”
Ananta Press is delighted to congratulate accomplished business leader, author, and thought leader Gouri Shankar Patnaik on the official nomination of his insightful non-fiction work, “RELATIONSHIP REVOLUTION: Transforming Customers into Brand Ambassadors,” for the prestigious Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. The nomination recognizes a book that moves beyond conventional discussions of customer management to explore a much more meaningful business philosophy: creating relationships strong enough to transform satisfied customers into genuine advocates for a brand. In an era where organizations increasingly compete not only through products and pricing but through trust, experience, engagement, and long-term relationships, “Relationship Revolution” presents a timely and relevant perspective on Customer Relationship Management, commonly known as CRM. A Book That Reimagines the Customer-Business Relationship “RELATIONSHIP REVOLUTION: Transforming Customers into Brand Ambassadors” offers readers a comprehensive and balanced exploration of Customer Relationship Management while positioning CRM as much more than a technological system or operational tool. At the heart of the book is the understanding that successful businesses are built upon relationships. The book examines the concepts, benefits, technologies, managerial applications, and implementation strategies associated with CRM while connecting them with marketing, sales, customer service, and the broader customer lifecycle. What particularly distinguishes the book is its emphasis on customer advocacy. Rather than viewing customers merely as buyers at the receiving end of a commercial transaction, Gouri Shankar Patnaik encourages organizations to understand customers deeply, serve them meaningfully, and build relationships capable of turning them into enthusiastic brand ambassadors. This transformation from customer satisfaction to customer advocacy gives the book both its identity and its contemporary relevance. The award committee recognizes the value of this approach because it presents CRM not simply as a business process, but as a philosophy of sustainable organizational growth. Combining Academic Understanding with Practical Business Relevance One of the notable strengths of “Relationship Revolution” is its ability to bridge academic concepts with practical managerial application. The book can serve students looking to understand the foundations of CRM, professionals seeking to strengthen customer-focused strategies, and business leaders responsible for developing organizations around long-term stakeholder relationships. While CRM technologies form an important part of the discussion, the book does not allow technology to overshadow the human and managerial dimensions of customer relationships. Instead, it explains how technology can support organizations in understanding customer needs, coordinating interactions, improving services, and making better strategic decisions. The book’s flexible structure further enhances its accessibility. Readers can approach individual chapters according to their areas of interest rather than necessarily following a rigid sequence. This makes it useful not only as a traditional book but also as a practical reference resource. It is this combination of clarity, applicability, structured knowledge, and strategic insight that contributed significantly to its nomination for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. Four Decades of Leadership Behind the Book The authority of “Relationship Revolution” is strengthened considerably by the remarkable professional journey of its author. Gouri Shankar Patnaik brings more than four decades of experience across the pulp and paper and manufacturing sectors, including senior leadership responsibilities at JK Paper Ltd. and ITC Limited. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Patnaik has developed extensive expertise across areas including quality governance, sustainability and ESG oversight, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, quality systems, internal controls, and organizational governance. His experience has involved advising senior management and board-level stakeholders on integrating sustainability principles and responsible business practices with broader corporate strategy. His contribution to Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting frameworks, environmental stewardship, governance systems, compliance processes, and organizational readiness reflects a career built around responsibility, quality, structure, and long-term value creation. These experiences naturally enrich his writing. The ideas presented in “Relationship Revolution” therefore emerge not merely from theoretical study but from decades of observing organizations, systems, leadership practices, stakeholders, and evolving business expectations. Recognizing a Distinguished Thought Leader Mr. Patnaik’s professional contribution extends beyond corporate leadership. He has contributed to industry standards and professional frameworks through associations with organizations including the Bureau of Indian Standards, TAPPI, and IPPTA, and he is a Life Member of the Quality Council of India. His leadership and contribution to the field of quality have also earned significant recognition. He received the Most Influential Quality Leader award in both 2025 and 2026 and was honoured as a Topmost Quality Leader by the International Quality Congress in 2025. As a frequent speaker at national and international forums, he continues to share his perspectives on quality, governance, sustainability, organizational excellence, and responsible leadership. He has also authored “Quality Assurance in Industries,” further reflecting his commitment to converting professional knowledge into valuable resources for readers. Why “Relationship Revolution” Earned Its Nomination The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award seeks to recognize authors and books that offer meaningful ideas, distinctive perspectives, reader value, and significant contributions within their respective fields. “Relationship Revolution” stands out because it addresses a universal business challenge through a thoughtful and structured lens: how organizations can move from merely acquiring customers to building relationships worthy of advocacy. Its originality lies in the way it connects customer relationship management with brand-building, organizational strategy, technology, human understanding, and long-term business success. The book carries an important message for modern organizations: customers should not simply be managed; relationships should be nurtured. When organizations genuinely understand customer expectations, consistently create value, and earn trust, customers can become some of the strongest representatives of a brand. That principle gives the book relevance beyond a particular industry or organizational function. Celebrating a Meaningful Literary and Professional Contribution Ananta Press warmly congratulates Gouri Shankar Patnaik on the official nomination of “RELATIONSHIP REVOLUTION: Transforming Customers into Brand Ambassadors” for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award in the Non-Fiction category. The nomination celebrates not only an informative and professionally relevant book but also the author’s continuing commitment to knowledge-sharing, responsible leadership, quality, governance, and sustainable value creation. We extend our best wishes to Gouri Shankar Patnaik for this recognition and for the continued journey of “Relationship Revolution.” His work serves as an important reminder that behind every successful organization are relationships
Ananta Press is delighted to congratulate author Syeda Faiza on being officially recognised as a Winner of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award for her inspiring and thoughtful book, EMPOWERED.
Categorised under Business & Management and Leadership, EMPOWERED offers a refreshing perspective on leadership by beginning not with authority, position, or professional designation, but with self-awareness and self-belief. Through this book, Syeda Faiza addresses an important question faced by many women: What if the greatest barrier between a woman and the leader she can become is her own uncertainty about her potential? The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award recognises books and authors whose work demonstrates originality, meaningful thought, reader value, relevance, and the potential to create a lasting impact. The award committee looks beyond the subject of a book and considers how effectively the author communicates the central idea, how relevant the work is to contemporary readers, and whether the book contributes something valuable to its field. EMPOWERED stood out during the evaluation process because of the clarity and relevance of its message. Instead of presenting leadership as a distant professional goal available only to managers, executives, or people in positions of authority, Syeda Faiza makes leadership accessible. She presents it as a process that begins when a person understands her strengths, emotions, values, fears, boundaries, capabilities, and purpose. This inside-out approach is one of the strongest qualities of the book. The book thoughtfully addresses self-doubt, imposter syndrome, fear of failure, comparison, societal expectations, and the tendency to wait until one feels completely ready. These are concerns that many capable women experience at different stages of their personal and professional lives. Rather than offering only motivational statements, the book encourages readers to understand these barriers and work through them consciously. As the journey progresses, EMPOWERED introduces readers to important areas such as emotional intelligence, confidence, communication, decision-making, resilience, professional relationships, boundaries, influence, authenticity, and purpose. Each of these areas contributes to the larger idea that successful leadership begins with knowing and trusting oneself. Another important reason for the book’s recognition is its approach to authentic leadership. Syeda Faiza does not ask women to copy an established image of what a leader should look or sound like. Instead, she encourages readers to develop their own leadership identity. Qualities such as empathy, integrity, courage, emotional awareness, and authenticity are presented as genuine leadership strengths. This makes the book especially relevant at a time when leadership is increasingly understood not simply through authority, but through trust, communication, emotional understanding, and the ability to create meaningful influence. The award committee also appreciated the book’s realistic treatment of failure and uncertainty. EMPOWERED does not create the impression that confident leaders never make mistakes or experience fear. It recognises that setbacks, difficult conversations, wrong decisions, criticism, and uncertainty are natural parts of growth. The emphasis on resilience makes the message more practical. Confidence, as the book demonstrates, is not about never being afraid. It is about developing the ability to continue learning, adapting, and moving forward even when the outcome is uncertain. The book’s attention to relationships and community adds another meaningful dimension. Leadership is not presented as a journey that takes place in isolation. Readers are encouraged to create supportive networks, find mentors, develop healthy professional relationships, build trust, and support other women. This perspective expands the idea of leadership beyond individual achievement and connects it to shared progress. The practical nature of the book further strengthens its contribution. Reflective questions, exercises, strategies, and real-world observations encourage readers not only to read the ideas but also to apply them. The reader is invited to examine personal habits, beliefs, behaviours, and aspirations and to identify areas where meaningful change can begin. The later focus on purpose and legacy gives EMPOWERED an additional depth. The book gradually moves the reader beyond the question of career advancement and asks something more significant: What kind of impact should leadership create? In doing so, Syeda Faiza reminds readers that leadership is ultimately not about recognition alone. It is about contribution, influence, responsibility, and the positive difference a person leaves behind. The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award committee recognises EMPOWERED for its accessible approach, practical value, contemporary relevance, positive message, and its ability to combine personal development with leadership learning. Syeda Faiza has created a book that can speak to aspiring leaders, working professionals, entrepreneurs, students, managers, and women who simply want to become more confident in their decisions and their ability to influence their own lives. At the centre of EMPOWERED is a message worth remembering: leadership does not begin when someone gives you a title. It begins when you recognise your own ability to contribute, influence, and create change. Ananta Press warmly congratulates Syeda Faiza on this well-deserved recognition as a Winner of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. We wish her continued success in her literary and professional journey and hope that EMPOWERED reaches many readers who are ready to recognise their abilities, trust their voices, and take meaningful steps towards leadership. May this recognition encourage Syeda Faiza to continue contributing thoughtful, purposeful, and impactful work to readers and literature. Jury Feedback Glenville Ashby EMPOWERED presents leadership in a way that feels personal and approachable. What I particularly appreciated while reading the book was the decision to begin with self-belief instead of immediately discussing management techniques or organisational authority. The author understands that many people may possess talent and potential while still questioning whether they are prepared to lead. The discussion of self-doubt and imposter syndrome gives the book emotional relevance, especially for women who may have spent years underestimating their own abilities. I also liked the progression from understanding oneself to communicating confidently, making decisions, developing resilience, and finally creating meaningful impact. The book never suggests that leadership requires becoming louder or adopting someone else’s personality. It encourages the reader to recognise her natural strengths and develop them responsibly. This makes EMPOWERED useful not only for established professionals but also for younger readers and aspiring leaders. It is encouraging, practical, and based on a message that can remain relevant throughout different stages of life. Kavya Pandey What stood out to me in EMPOWERED was the author’s
Ananta Press proudly congratulates Prashantha Naveen Karkera, author of Hijack: And Its Repercussions, on being officially selected as a Winner of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award.
This recognition honours a work of non-fiction that brings an important and deeply human episode of recent South Asian history to readers with sincerity, seriousness, and emotional involvement. Hijack: And Its Repercussions is not merely an account of a ship caught in a conflict zone. It is a record of uncertainty, diplomacy, fear, survival, and the difficult choices that arise when ordinary people become trapped in circumstances created by war. The book takes readers back to August 1998, when Sri Lanka was in the midst of a long and violent civil war involving the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. During this tense period, the ship Princess Kash, carrying a mostly Indian crew and commanded by Indian Captain Bangare Navindra Karkera, came under the control of the LTTE near the Mullaitivu coast. Information was limited, conflicting reports were circulating, and the situation was complicated by suspicions that the vessel might have been carrying supplies intended for areas under LTTE control. The circumstances became even more serious when the vessel was bombed and destroyed. With the ship gone and reliable information difficult to obtain, the fate of the people on board became a matter of urgent concern. The eventual release and safe return of the sixteen Indian crew members and Captain Karkera gave the incident a very different conclusion from the tragedy that could easily have unfolded. Prashantha Naveen Karkera brings this story before readers from the perspective of someone who was intimately and emotionally connected with the series of events. That personal connection gives the book a quality that cannot be achieved through facts and dates alone. It allows the reader to understand not only what happened, but also the anxiety, uncertainty, responsibility, and emotional consequences surrounding the incident. The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award seeks to recognise books that contribute meaningfully to literature and public understanding. In the case of Hijack: And Its Repercussions, the award committee found particular value in the way the book preserves a lesser-known historical episode and gives importance to the human beings at the centre of it. The work combines history with personal testimony and turns an incident that might otherwise have remained within official records or old news reports into a story that can be remembered by future readers. The selection committee also appreciated the restraint with which the subject is approached. The book deals with war, suspicion, military action, and unanswered questions, yet it does not depend on exaggeration. Instead, it acknowledges the difficulty of establishing complete facts in the confusion of conflict. This willingness to leave uncertainty where certainty cannot honestly be claimed adds credibility and maturity to the narrative. Another important reason for the book’s selection is its message. Hijack: And Its Repercussions reminds us that wars and political conflicts are never limited to governments, armies, or organisations. Their consequences reach sailors, workers, families, officials, and citizens who may have had no role in creating the conflict. The book therefore becomes more than the story of one vessel. It becomes a reflection on the value of human life and on the responsibility to protect people caught between competing forces. As a work of general non-fiction, the book has relevance for readers interested in history, diplomacy, international relations, conflict, maritime incidents, and real-life survival. At the same time, its human focus makes it accessible even to readers who may not be familiar with the political background of Sri Lanka during that period. The six-member reading and evaluation process further recognised the book for its originality, historical importance, emotional depth, and contribution to preserving memory. Each reader found that the work offered something beyond a simple reconstruction of events. It gives voice and permanence to a moment in which uncertainty and danger were met by persistence, diplomacy, and concern for human life. Ananta Press extends its heartfelt congratulations to Prashantha Naveen Karkera on receiving the Sahitya Ratna Award for Hijack: And Its Repercussions. May this recognition bring the book to a wider readership and encourage more readers to engage with this important account. We wish the author continued success and hope that this work remains a meaningful contribution to non-fiction literature, historical memory, and the understanding of the human consequences of conflict. Jury Feedback Glenville Ashby Hijack: And Its Repercussions is a powerful non-fiction account because it brings a complex historical and political incident down to the level of ordinary human lives. What stayed with me most was the sense of uncertainty surrounding the ship, its crew, and the conflicting claims made during a time of war. The book does not try to turn the incident into easy drama. Instead, it shows how fear, diplomacy, conflict, and human responsibility can meet in a single event. The release and safe return of the Indian crew gives the story emotional weight, while the unresolved questions surrounding the destruction of the vessel remind readers how difficult it can be to establish truth during conflict. I also appreciated the personal involvement of the author, which gives the narrative sincerity and emotional depth. This is a valuable book for readers interested in history, diplomacy, conflict studies, and real-life stories of survival and responsibility. Kavya Pandey What I found especially meaningful in Hijack: And Its Repercussions is the way the book presents a serious geopolitical event without losing sight of the people trapped inside it. The story of Captain Bangare Navindra Karkera and the Indian crew is not treated as a footnote to a larger war. Their fear, uncertainty, and eventual return home become the emotional centre of the narrative. The background of the Sri Lankan civil war and the presence of the LTTE give the book historical importance, but the human dimension is what makes it accessible to a wider reader. The author’s close personal connection to the incident gives the account a strong sense of authenticity. I also liked that the book leaves room for uncertainty where facts remain unclear, rather than forcing definite conclusions. That quality gives the work credibility. It is a thoughtful contribution
Congratulations to Kriti on the Official Nomination of The One Who Stayed for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award 2026!
Ananta Press is delighted to announce the official nomination of Kriti’s poetry collection, The One Who Stayed, for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award 2026. The One Who Stayed is a deeply personal collection of poems that moves through rage, fear, love, attachment, loss, loneliness, healing, and the difficult journey of finding one’s way back to oneself. The collection is thoughtfully divided into four emotional sections: The Fire Within, Where the Heart Gets Lost, The People Who Leave, and Finding My Way Home. What makes this collection especially meaningful is its emotional honesty. Kriti does not present pain as something that disappears overnight. Instead, her poems explore what it feels like to hold on too tightly, to miss someone while resisting the urge to reach out, to live through sleepless nights, and to question whether the people around us truly understand what we are carrying inside. The collection gradually moves toward an important realization: healing does not always come from someone returning. Sometimes, it begins when we return to ourselves. In the title poem, The One Who Stayed, the speaker realizes that the person she had been waiting for was not someone else, but the part of herself that had never truly left. It is this combination of vulnerability, emotional relatability, self-reflection, and hope that makes The One Who Stayed worthy of recognition. The poems speak to readers who have experienced love, separation, anxiety, loneliness, emotional exhaustion, or the quiet process of rebuilding themselves. The book is now being considered as part of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award 2026 evaluation process, celebrating literary voices that create meaningful connections with readers through originality, expression, and emotional impact. Heartiest congratulations to Kriti on this special nomination. We wish her the very best for the upcoming evaluation and look forward to seeing her poetic voice reach many more readers. Congratulations from Ananta Press Publishing and Crafted by Vikrant.
Archana Jain’s Fungibility: The Art & Science of Adding Value Anywhere Officially Nominated for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award
Ananta Press is delighted to congratulate Archana Jain on the official nomination of her insightful and timely book, Fungibility: The Art & Science of Adding Value Anywhere, for the prestigious Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award in the Self-Help/Motivational category. This nomination recognizes a book that speaks directly to one of the defining realities of our time: the world of work is changing faster than ever, and professionals can no longer depend solely on fixed roles, qualifications, or conventional expertise to remain relevant. Through Fungibility, Archana Jain presents an empowering response to this challenge, encouraging readers to develop the ability to learn, adapt, transfer their capabilities, and create meaningful value wherever circumstances take them. At the heart of the book lies a compelling idea: “Your job may change. Your industry may change. Your value shouldn’t.” In an era shaped by Artificial Intelligence, technological disruption, changing industries, and rapidly evolving skill requirements, this message carries extraordinary relevance. Rather than approaching disruption with fear, Archana Jain encourages readers to reconsider how they define themselves professionally. The book invites individuals to move beyond identifying themselves only through a job title and instead recognize the deeper capabilities, strengths, perspectives, and transferable skills through which they create value. This distinctive interpretation of “fungibility” is one of the key reasons the book attracted the attention of the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award committee. Traditionally associated with interchangeability, the concept is thoughtfully reimagined by Archana Jain as a professional and personal capability—the ability to contribute effectively across roles, functions, industries, environments, and challenges. This fresh approach gives the book both originality and practical significance. Drawing upon research, leadership insights, business experiences, case studies, and actionable frameworks, Fungibility offers readers much more than motivation. It provides a roadmap for building transferable skills, strengthening learning agility, becoming adaptable in uncertain environments, expanding professional opportunities, and remaining relevant even as industries transform. Its message is equally valuable for young professionals beginning their careers, experienced leaders facing changing expectations, entrepreneurs navigating uncertain markets, students preparing for the future workplace, and organizations seeking to develop resilient and future-ready talent. The award committee particularly appreciated the book’s ability to connect an important global conversation—the future of work—with practical individual development. Instead of asking readers simply to acquire more knowledge, the book encourages them to develop the capacity to continuously learn, apply, evolve, and contribute. The nomination also reflects the depth of experience behind the author’s ideas. Archana Jain is a strategic, impact-driven leader, writer, mentor, and facilitator with more than two decades of professional experience across business operations, talent development, communications, coaching, customer experience, and organizational enablement. Her career has consistently placed her at the intersection of people, performance, technology, and purpose. Her professional journey across customer service, technical support, leadership, mentoring, and coaching environments has given her an intimate understanding of how workplaces evolve and what individuals require to succeed within them. Yet throughout this changing landscape, she has remained deeply committed to the human qualities that technology cannot easily replicate—empathy, dignity, trust, encouragement, resilience, and genuine connection. That philosophy was powerfully explored in her earlier work, The Human Premium: Thriving in the Age of AI Algorithms, which examined how people and organizations can succeed alongside Artificial Intelligence by embracing human-centered leadership. With editions across multiple languages and expansion into audio and learning formats, the work demonstrated the global relevance of her ideas. Fungibility takes that conversation forward. While The Human Premium explores the enduring value of humanity in an increasingly technological world, Fungibility focuses on how individuals can remain professionally relevant within that world. Together, these ideas form a meaningful body of work around adaptability, leadership, resilience, human potential, and the future of work. Archana’s contribution also extends beyond writing. Through mentoring, facilitation, empowerment programs, inclusion initiatives, sustainability efforts, and community development, she has consistently worked toward helping individuals recognize their abilities and create positive impact. Her ongoing doctoral studies in management further strengthen the combination of practical experience and academic curiosity reflected in her work. The Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award celebrates authors whose writing demonstrates originality, purpose, literary merit, meaningful thought, and the potential to positively influence readers. The nomination of Fungibility: The Art & Science of Adding Value Anywhere acknowledges the book’s ability to address a contemporary challenge while providing readers with an optimistic and actionable way forward. Its most important contribution may lie in its shift of perspective. The professionals who succeed in tomorrow’s world may not simply be those who possess the greatest amount of knowledge. They may be those who can learn faster, adapt better, transfer their capabilities, and create value across changing situations. Through Fungibility, Archana Jain transforms this idea into an accessible philosophy for professional growth and personal resilience. Ananta Press warmly congratulates Archana Jain on this well-deserved official nomination for the Ananta Press Sahitya Ratna Award. We extend our best wishes to her for the award journey ahead and recognize her valuable contribution to contemporary self-help, leadership thinking, and literature focused on preparing individuals for a rapidly changing future. May Fungibility: The Art & Science of Adding Value Anywhere continue to inspire readers to move beyond fixed identities, embrace continuous growth, and discover the confidence to create value—wherever life and work may take them.
